Week of June 19th

Last week we finally completed the history presentations! I was impressed with the creativity, detail and clarity of some of the presentations. One group even created multiple copies of a complete board game! Well done!

Speaking of history, here's another Grade 8 Confederation rap:

On Friday afternoon, I treated the class to a spaghetti snack. We cooked and ate 3kg of pasta!!! I was happy to see how much all of you enjoyed it. As for the students celebrating Ramadan, I hope you enjoyed the take-home container of pasta...did you share it with other family members? ;-)

In math, we did data management using some primary data that we collected. Ms. D and some other students volunteered to take 50 free-throws and a tally of all successful baskets were kept.

Getting tips and pointers from the pros

Will it go in?!?!?!

Success!!! Thanks for the support!!!

50 shots takes some time!!! Way to go!

Looking like a pro!!!

This is our last FULL week of classes...here's what's in store:

1. Math
We will take up the Basketball Data math we did last week.
We will do some fun math puzzles/games/activities this week.

2. Language - Quote of the Day
Each day this week, we'll look at some inspirational quotes and see how we can apply them to our own lives.

3. Art
We will continue with our fingerprint art

4. Class Memory Book?

5. Field Trip Friday
Planning on having a final field trip on Friday to celebrate the end of the school year. A permission form will go home early in the week. We'll head down to the lakeshore, have some snacks, play some games and hang out together one last time.
