Some of you were asking about a material list for grade 7 & 8. While we have numerous materials in class to share, the following items are in high demand and it might be a good idea to have your own personal set. I've posted it in the classroom but I'll post it here as well:
-calculator
-math set (with protractor, compass)
-ruler
-markers
-pencil crayons
-pen, pencil
Cup Challenge
For this challenge you will have to work together as a group.
Each group will get:
-6 cups
-a 'tool' - elastic with 5 string attached
Challenge #1
Create the following with the cups, using the elastic/string tool.
Challenge #2
Now that you've had some practise, create the following pyramid with the cups and tool provided:
