Week of January 11th

Welcome back to school! Hope all of you had a restful holiday...now it's back to work!

Immunization Day - MONDAY!!!
The grade 7 students and grade 8 girls are due for an immunization on Monday morning....be prepared!!

Language
This week we'll begin a read aloud of a book by Philip Roy entitled Me and Mr. Bell. Author Philip Roy will be at our school on January 20th to give our students a talk about his books....very exciting!

The Creative Writers from Guelph/Humber will be back in our classroom on Thursday morning.

Math
We will continue our "Dung" measurement unit and fit in some data management.

Science
Last week you were assigned a disease project. You should have completed all your research during our computer lab time last week. This week we'll work on creating your brochure and presentation. We have computer lab time booked every day this week. Brochure and Powerpoint/Prezzi is due by Friday and presentations will begin next week.

Geography
Both grades 7 & 8 will complete the graphs we were working on before the break and work them into our math data management unit.

Art
We completed our monographs before the holiday and will take a break from art while we continue with science this week.

Drama
We will begin a drama assignment next week
